There’s a bag on the bottom shelf of your dispensary’s flower case that doesn’t quite add up. Most people assume the big cheap bag is the trap. We’d like to explain why it isn’t.
Same greenhouse, simpler bag
High Ground is grown in the same greenhouse as everything else we make — 4,500 feet up in Dragoon, Arizona, same team, same water, same sun. It’s whole flower, not shake, not trim. The difference between High Ground and our top-shelf lines isn’t the plant; it’s the cut. Every harvest sorts itself: the biggest, prettiest colas go to Highway 14 and Octave jars and mylars, and the honest mid-sized buds — same strain, same lot, same terpenes — go into the High Ground bag. Somebody has to smoke the buds that grew in the middle of the plant. We think they should pay middle-of-the-plant prices for it.
What a half-ounce at this price gets you
Not one or two house strains, either. Over the last two months High Ground has shipped in seventeen different cultivars — AK-47, BC Hash, Timewreck, Gas Pedal, Gorilla Cookies, Mr. Nasty, Pink Certz, Mule Fuel, Amnesia Island, and the rest of the rotation. Whatever the farm is harvesting rolls through the line, which means the $20 half-ounce you grab this week is probably a different strain than the one you grabbed last month. For a daily smoker, a joint roller, or anyone who thinks of flower as a staple rather than a splurge, that’s the whole game: variety and volume without doing damage to the grocery budget.
The math nobody does out loud
A half-ounce is fourteen grams. At $20, that’s about $1.40 a gram — for licensed, tested, Arizona-grown whole flower. Roll it into twenty-five half-gram joints and you’re smoking for well under a dollar a joint. We’re not going to tell you how to spend your money, but we will point out that “cheap” and “inexpensive” are different words, and this bag is only one of them.
